Monday February 23, 2015 – Buenos Aires, Argentina

Today is the last day of the first cruise from Lima to Buenos Aires.  But we are staying on.  It's nice with so many people gone!

We had breakfast out on the back deck.

We waited to get specialty restaurant reservations and our diligence and patience finally paid off - we got what we wanted.

We took a taxi for $10 to Casa Rosada and walked around.  Then we went to the cathedral where Pope Francis was cardinal.

We walked down Florida Street – Cambio – Cambio – Cambio - money changers everywhere.  It was aggravating!

We walked to the Four Seasons near where we had stayed on our prior visit to Buenos Aires.  We had lunch at Pieronis, recommended by Carol Ponton from high school – it was yummy.

We walked thru Recoleta to the cemetery and visited Evita’s tomb in the Duarte plot.

We then walked to the main thoroughfare and took a taxi back to the port.  Best $5 spent on the trip.  It’s hot.

Tim worked out – I finished my David Baldacchi book.  Went to the library but no more of his books.

We went to the mandatory safety drill at 5:30.  Then dressed for dinner.  Drinks with Putu.  Then to the Grill buffet upstairs for a lighter dinner.  Huge lunch.

We got after dinner drinks with Putu and then went to the Folklorico Pampas Show – dancers, tango, in longo, gauchos, instruments.  It was interesting.

Then to bed.
