Thursday February 19, 2015 – At Sea enroute to Montevideo,
Uruguay
We slept in since we are at sea. It was a bit rough early in the night and
then the seas smoothed out. We had a
light breakfast and then went to a lecture on plants in Argentina given by the
Canadian botanist. Interesting
facts. We relaxed and read and ha lunch
at the grill outside even though it was a bit chilly. We both had grilled salmon sandwiches that
were excellent. I ended my meal with a
strawberry milkshake, not as good as PDQ’s!!!!
We relaxed during the afternoon and heard a talk by the
neurosurgeon speaker on “Evita’s Lobotomy”!
He went all around the subject and never really talked about a lobotomy
– but told us he will reveal the rest of the story tomorrow afternoon at 2 pm. Seems to be much ado about nothing and a way
to stretch out 1 lecture to 2! Oh well,
where else are we to go while at sea?
We napped and read during the afternoon. We went to Horizons to hear Amy and Meghan
do an informal show. Amy sings obscure,
sad country songs that are depressing.
We then got dressed and went to
Horizons for a drink. Eduardo was on
duty and took care of us until Putu came back.
Putu wants us to call him when we are in Bali next year and he will
advise us of where to go. He is getting
married this summer to a Catholic girl but it will be a Hindu wedding. He is very excited.
We went to dinner about 8 and had to wait a while for a
table by the window. One couple in front
of us was invited to go to Polo Grill for dinner for two – that would have been
nice, but it wasn’t our turn. We had a
good dinner and went to Horizons but I just had water. Enough drinking for the day. Then to bed.
